Standard uses the configured offline map on Pi or the optional OpenStreetMap basemap on phones.
RideOS tools
Open Spotify on this device and use your Cardo for audio. Browser PWAs cannot read live song metadata.
Save the map for where you're riding: on the Map tab open Layers and tap "Save this area for offline", or set a route and download its map. Live trail data, speed limits and gas stations still need a connection - only the map picture itself is saved.
ADVANCED: IMPORT A MAP FILE
For riders who already have a GeoJSON route file from another source.
Riding
Ride time and average speed ignore parked stops. Your track and distance are unaffected.

Safety
After a hard impact and sudden stop while recording, you get a cancellable countdown before your Ride Group is alerted. Rough terrain can cause false alarms - test it first.
Riding alone? If you are still recording after the time below, RideOS puts a "still out there?" prompt in front of you.
Used by both features above. Never sent automatically - they only open a prefilled text in your Messages app, and you tap send.
Group rides
Adds your distance, top speed and climb to the recap when a Ride Group ends. Off: you still appear by name, your numbers stay private.
Account, sync & data
Rides save on this device first. Optional Field Sync uploads finished rides when you are online.
Automatic
GPS SOURCERideOS checks the Pi bridge first, then falls back to browser location.
